THE Michael Meiko Cosmetics
We started Michael Meiko Cosmetics LLC in 2008 in Goodyear, AZ to sell products that benefit persons suffering with various skin conditions such as sunburns, scraps, burns (from scalding, radiation, and other irritations), acne and shaving irritation.
Michael Meiko's members come from diverse backgrounds and have as a singular purpose providing products based on our proprietary formulas. We use the safest and most skin friendly ingredients and blend them with our proprietary OSP#1 materials.
In July 2010, we will open our headquarters in Surprise Arizona. Surprise is in the "Valley of the Sun" in Maricopa County, AZ. With over 300 days of sunshine and more than 100 days of 100 degrees or more, this represents a great proving and testing ground for our sun related products. The sun related products are just the first of many areas we will venture into, the new areas will be related to shaving, acne and overall good skin care.
We will market our products to all regions of the US and the world. We will educate our customers on how to live in harmony with the sun and benefit from proper sun exposure.

HAIR HAND FOOT Sunburn
A sunburn is a burn to living tissue, such as skin, which is produced by overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, commonly from the sun's rays. Usual mild symptoms in humans and animals include red or reddish skin that is hot to the touch, general fatigue, and mild dizziness. An excess of UV radiation can be life-threatening in extreme cases. Exposure of the skin to lesser amounts of UV radiation will often produce a suntan. Excessive UV radiation is the leading cause of primarily non-malignant skin tumors. Ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation causes dangerous sunburns and increases the risk of two types of skin cancer: basal-cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.
Burns
A burn is a type of skin injury caused by heat, electricity, chemicals, light, radiation or friction. Most burns only affect the skin (epidermal tissue and dermis). Rarely deeper tissues, such as muscle, bone, and blood vessels can also be injured. The classification of a burn can change over the first few days. This means that a burn may appear superficial initially, then become deeper over time.
Superficial Skin Burns .Superficial skin burns, previously called first degree burns, involve only the top layer of skin, are painful, dry, and red, and turn white when pressed.
Partial-Thickness Skin Burns. Partial-thickness skin burns, previously called second degree burns, involve the top two layers of skin, are painful with air movement or air temperature changes, are red and seep fluid, usually form blisters, and turn white when pressed.

Acne occurs when the openings of hair follicles become clogged and blocked with oil secretions and dead skin cells. If the clogged pore becomes infected with bacteria, inflammation results.
The main symptoms include:
•reddened, inflamed bumps called papules.
•whiteheads and blackheads the non-inflammed spots, also known as comedones.
•pus filled spots or pustules.
•deep tender nodules under the skin.
These are just some of the factors that have been found to make acne worse.

•Avoid excessive cleansing. Acne is not caused by dirt and lack of hygiene, and too much cleansing can dry the skin making it too sensitive for the use of topical treatments that would otherwise be very useful.
•Don't pick at your spots. This can lead to scarring or pitting, which is permanent.
•Apply acne medications over the entire affected area, not just on individual spots.
•Keep your hair off your face, especially if it is greasy too, and avoid touching your face too often

Razor bumps, ingrown hairs, and shaving irritation are problems for both men and women. The some of the effects to the skin are, but may not be limited to the following;
*" Barber's rash" , medically known as folliculitis, is caused when the hair follicles become infected with the
bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. This bug lives in the nasal passages and can be introduced to the follicles
during shaving. The infection leads to redness, itching, and small, pus-filled blisters.
* "Razor bumps" , called pseudofolliculitis barbae or "PFB", occur when the hair curls and grows back into the
skin. This hair may then be attacked by the body's immune system, leading to redness, inflammation and
sometimes to infection. It may also develop into full-blown folliculitis. Ingrown hair can also develop when
the hair is cut too short, below the surface of the skin.
